Television opportunity …Channel 4 Landscape Man

A new series following the design and creation of six ambitious and imaginative private gardens and the inspirational people driving them will be launched on Channel 4 this Spring.
Landscape Man, which comes from the creators of Channel 4 hugely successful Grand Designs series, aims to portray a realistic picture of what is involved in creating stunning landscaped gardens.
Featuring garden designers Tom Hoblyn and Jill Fenwick, landscape architect Ian Kitson and nurseryman Keith Wiley, the series will trace the creation of several large-scale projects across the seasons, from autumn to spring to the final unveiling in late summer. Each programme follows the processes and problems of each project through the eyes of the garden designers, contractors and the ambitious owners, whose stories are the heart of the series.
The series promises to be a celebration of people and their passion for Nature and aims to set a new benchmark for gardening TV, showing people with ideas, passions and visions that go far beyond those normally associated with gardening on TV.
Landscape Man will be presented by Matthew Wilson, the Head of Creative Development for the Royal Horticultural Society. Wilson, who has over 20 years experience in garden design, journalism and curating, will help guide the owners through the process.

Red House TV, who produced the series is currently working on a second series of the programme and is looking for one more ambitious designer-led projects with enthusiastic clients that they can follow over the next 8 months. The projects do not have to be fully finished in this time, but we would need at least 3 reasonably sized areas to be ready to ‘reveal’ by the end of the summer.
