Set for the season

Build Center, part of the Wolseley group, is geared up for the new landscaping season with a new national campaign.
The construction materials supplier has launched a ‘Create Your Own Great British Landscape’ campaign to highlight its newly extended landscape product range, expanded network of its specialist ‘Landscape Center’ branches and a new Landscaping Guide. All branches are now stocked up and ready for the season.

Andrew Cushing, Build Center’s head of marketing, said: “The campaign theme is based around our ability to offer customers everything they need to create an outdoor masterpiece, and will be supported by a comprehensive marketing campaign. This will include the launch of a new Landscape Center micro-site, which will be linked to the Build Center website – www.buildcenter.co.uk – and will offer relevant sections tailored to trade, consumer and public sector customers, as well as a branch finder tool and product information.”

Further activity in the lead up to the 2009 landscaping season sees existing Build Center branches in Horsham and Highgate launched as specialist Landscape Centers bringing the total of these to 21 branches nationwide. Landscape Centers stock an extended range of products and materials from leading manufacturers, including Marshalls driveway and patio products, Finnforest decking and cabins and Britannia fencing and garden structures. Build Center also offers a landscaping range from its 200-plus branches across the UK.

The new Landscaping Guide is now available from all Build Center and Landscape Centers and features new products, such as border rolls, edging and sleepers, plus Marshalls’ innovative surface protected paving. There is also a new section on sustainability that highlights Wolseley’s expertise in this area, with the company opening a UK-first Sustainable Building Center (SBC) in Leamington Spa in June 2008. A wide range of Chain of Custody certified timber decking is included in the product portfolio.

The 144-page guide also includes advice on complying with new legislation on the resurfacing of front gardens and driveways, with sustainable options such as Marshalls Priora permeable block paving available. In addition, a new section on Wolseley’s Brandon Hire business is featured, with a wide range of tools for gardening and landscaping projects available for hire – from leaf blowers to turf cutters, shredders to lawn mowers.

Customers can also find details of the Landscape Center design service in the guide, where highly skilled designers take a brief and create tailor-made plans.

Landscape Centers stock the most popular products and material ranges in branch, ensuring customers have access to what they need, when they need it. Most products can also be ordered for delivery next day.
