HTA restructures

The Horticultural Trades Association (HTA) is restructuring in order to be ‘fit for purpose’ for the next ten years and enabling the organisation to more effectively meet the needs of its members in a rapidly changing marketplace.

The following changes are being made:
Finance & Administration Director – Paul Basham: will take over responsibility for all aspects of the HTA’s Financial Management, Investment Management, Administration, HR and Systems.
Director of Marketing – Andrew Maxted: takes over as Director of a new Marketing Department, which will embrace promotions, market research and information, events and conferences. It will include core promotional schemes like National Garden Gift Vouchers and PlantforLife, and new developments.
Director of Business Development – Tim Briercliffe: will additionally take over responsibility for the retail development agenda and will thus be able to focus on the business development needs of all our current sectors of membership.
All three, along with the PR team, will report directly to Director General David Gwyther who says, “These changes, which will not add to our operating costs, are key in order for the HTA to keep up to speed with the changes in the market. As a result we will be able to provide an even better service to our existing and new members in the months and years to come.”
