A new exhibition, The Hard Landscaping Show, will take place on the 23rd and 24th of March 2010. The show will run alongside World of Paving, the UK’s first dedicated paving event that has already attracted some of the top names in the industry.
“Since the successful launch of World of Paving earlier this year, it became clear to us from the reaction of many people within the industry that there is also a demand for a specialist Hard Landscaping event that is completely separate from the horticultural aspect of the trade” said Steven Callaghan,event manager of Marwood Events.
“Hard Landscaping seems to have always been treated as a poor relation at other exhibitions. We feel this sector deserves the limelight” he adds, “so the emphasis and therefore the timing of this event is aimed entirely at the hard side of the business. This will also be reflected in the visitor profile, where we aim to attract visitors from the private & civic landscaping sector, involved in specifying & installing rather than just resellers. Many exhibitors have already stated that the pull though demand thus created is of real value to their future”.
“Landscaping Professionals do not make buying decisions solely based upon what is on the shelves at their local garden centre or builders merchants they are keen to see and try new products, they want to innovate and the Hard Landscaping Show will be built around their needs and requirements – it’s even taking place at a time of the year – the end of March – that actually suits them”.
