Ben, the motor industry charity, is backing this year’s Great British Duck race, at Molesey Lock on the River Thames on Sunday 6 September. "We hope to help break the Guinness world record of 175,000 rubber ducks, set at last year’s event," said Kirsten Galvin, for the charity. "The race will be fun, should raise much-needed cash and gives all who take part the chance to win £10,000. You can adopt a duck online at www.ben.org.uk for a minimum donation of £2 and the first duck past the post wins the cash. Ben helps more than 15,000 motor industry people and their families in times of need.
