“The mood for 2009 is buoyant and the show is as strong as ever. The exchange rate has had little impact on overseas exhibitor numbers with 232 growers and suppliers of plants among the 420 exhibitors to date, not bad for a “regional show,” says Pat Coutts Four Oaks show director.
The seminar programme will this year cover two markets – day 1 retail and day 2 landscape, recognising the growing attendance from this sector. The retail sessions will be led by John Stanley with five supporting speakers. On day 2, John Gillan, former Chairman of BALI, and MD of Premier One (Land Services) will give two presentations, the first "Surviving the Recession" from a commercial viewpoint, and the second "Winning with BALI".
Full details of all visitor services can be found on the website Courtesy coaches will run from Manchester International Airport at 15 minute intervals, and also from Holmes Chapel railway station. On-line registration will remain open until Friday September 4th, and latecomers may register on site. Catalogues will be available from mid August to pre-registered visitors.
