ISS Facility Services Landscaping has successfully ‘hoisted’ 16 Green Flags this year in partnership with their local authority clients up and down the country.
Green Flag successes include Hotham Park in Bognor Regis, affectionately dubbed the ‘People’s Park’ by the thousands of residents and visitors who use it every week, retaining its flag for the fourth year; Mewsbrook Park in Littlehampton, retaining its flag for the ninth successive year; Grenfell Park in Maidenhead which this year became the seventh Royal Borough park to be awarded a Green Flag, and Vulcan Park in Workington which has, in previous years, been in the running to be named one of the Top 10 Green Flag sites in the country.
ISS continue to support their clients in conserving and improving their green spaces, setting new standards for distinction and demonstrating best practice solutions for dealing with local challenges. Working in partnership is the key to achieving excellence in delivering service quality whilst realising efficiencies and savings and in this way, together with our clients, we achieve clean, safe and green parks and open spaces which continue to win awards year after year.
The Green Flag Award Scheme recognises and rewards the best green spaces in the country. It encourages excellence and promotes progressive improvement in the quality of our parks and open green spaces.
Phil Jones, Managing Director, ISS Facility Services Landscaping said “well maintained parks and open spaces have many environmental, social, health and economic benefits for their local communities; they are fundamental to both quality of life and to attracting growth and investment to an area. Our Green Flag wins demonstrate how strong partnership working breeds success and ISS will continue to seek opportunities to improve our service delivery and to explore opportunities with our clients for further joint working.”
