G-Scapes of Lichfield Ltd and Fullbrook Nursery have secured the Boultons Nurseries site in
Staffordshire, marking a major milestone in the company’s continued growth and commitment to sustainable horticulture.
With over a century of horticultural heritage, Boultons Nurseries has long been recognised for its expertise in hardy nursery stock and its pioneering shift to peat-free production since 2005.
Now under the G-Scapes Group umbrella, the site will continue this legacy, reinforcing our position as a national supplier of premium quality plants to landscapers, garden designers, developers, and garden centres.
Peat-free at scale
The move significantly enhances its UK-based production capabilities, allowing it to cultivate an even broader range of shrubs, herbaceous perennials, grasses, and specimen plants, while expanding the peat-free offering. The strategic development aligns with the group’s long-standing environmental commitments and supports upcoming industry-wide legislative changes, the company said.
Daniel Gee, managing director of The G-Scapes Group, commented: “This is more than just a strategic step, it’s a continuation of shared values. The Boultons site gives us the scale to grow responsibly, support local jobs and strengthen our ability to supply both trade and retail markets across the UK.”
The Boultons site will now be operated by the Fullbrook Nursery team, with production centred around key nursery lines for trade customers, alongside seasonal stock for selected retail partners.
Investment is already underway in site branding and technology, while preserving the expertise and plant quality that have made Boultons a trusted name for generations.
