Tackling the long grass ……Etesia

The Etesia walk-behind brushcutter has a 6hp Kawasaki FC180 engine. The 53cm wide machine has a 51cm cutting width. It is capable of tackling tough vegetation, making it suitable for heavy-duty clearance in scrubland, woodland areas, over-grown sites or for weed control. Its compact size makes it ideal for sites with restricted access or limited space.
Designed for operator safety and ease-of-use, especially on difficult terrain, the Attila AK51 features Etesia’s well-proven instant-control hydrostatic drive system. There are no complicated gears – simply a hydraulic pump with two wheel motors.
These provide smooth and positive take-up and disengagement over three completely separate forward driving ‘zones’ to cope with anything from young saplings, brambles and scrub to overgrown vegetation and rough grass.
The speed range in each zone is infinitely variable, so, for comfort and safety, the operator can match the speed to suit the site. Forward speed is up to 5km/h and 2km/h in reverse. Importantly, because the drive acts like a ‘brake’ on downhill slopes, the user maintains control and there is no danger of the machine running away with him. Attila AK51 works safely on banks up to 30 degrees.
The machine is easy-to-operate and highly manoeuvrable with wheels mounted on ball bearings for smooth operation and long life. Extra large diameter rear wheels have wide tread tyres for stability and grip on slopes and uneven ground, and hydraulic diff lock provides extra traction on difficult terrain.
Beneath the square-section cutting deck, the heavy-duty cutter-bar is set off-centre for speedy ejection of cut material. 5-position cutting heights are from 50mm to 110mm. An EC compliant blade brake clutch is fitted.
