At the Wiltshire Life Awards Initiative, held at Wilton House on 27 March 2009 the restored 17th century Puritan Silk Merchants House garden designed by Jeffrey Galvin-Wright and constructed by Hillier Landscapes was awarded ‘Wiltshire Garden of the Year – 2009’.

From the start it had been a community project, and on behalf of the Trustees, Jeffrey thanked all the very generous donors who had sponsored plots in the garden. The garden was formerly opened by Sir Roy Strong.
