Space at a premium……The ARB Show 2012

With exhibitor space at a premium the two-day arboricultural extravaganza the ARB Show 2012 is turning out to be a real success.
Five companies have chosen The ARB Show 2012 to launch new products ranging from log splitters to safety specs. We take a look at the launches that will take place at the Show.
• Stihl will launch their X-FIT arb PPE now available with a Design C trouser and for utility workers a new HiVis PPE to Railway Group Standard GO/RT/ 3279.
• Rock Croft will be launching their new mesh-specs “BX” mesh safety glasses – and claim more style, same protection www.meshsafetygoggles.co.uk
• Wilson Machinery Ltd will launch the machine-mounted Lasco hydraulic cone splitting system from Austria.
• Arborplan Insurance will be launching commercial vehicle insurance: Arbortruck. www.thecleargroup.com/arborplan says this insurance is specifically designed for arboriculturists and forestry contractors with any number of vehicles from one to a multi vehicle fleet and covers commercial, private and special-type vehicles.
• Workware will introduce the Faxko tripod latter system which is described as “unique”.
Visitors to the ARB Show will also get a preview of a launch that will take place next year: the Show’s main sponsor Stihl will be exhibiting next year’s backpack-held battery for their cordless range.
Also new for this year at The ARB Show will be:
• The Ancient Tree Forum will provide guidance on the protection and management of veteran and ancient trees and has a selection of ancient tree guides to give away
• Ex-demonstration Stihl machines advertised for sale at the Show by George Carr www.georgecarrpowerproducts.co.uk who advertises these machines will be sold “with big discounts”
• Predator Power Ltd www.predator-mfg.com will show their new Predator 38X stump grinder which they describe as “probably the most innovative, powerful and economical stump grinder to hit the market ever!”
• Silky Fox Handsaws www.silkyfox.co.uk will demonstrate the Tsuruig pruning saw which Silky Fox describes as “revolutionary”.
