APF 2010 and Husqvarna are delighted to announce that the World 80ft pole climbing championships will take place during this years event .
Exhibition Secretary Ian Millward told The Landscaper “We are delighted to be staging this major world championship during the exhibition and thank Husqvarna for their sponsorship. It is a major attraction for visitors and the fact it is a World championship is already attracting a lot of interest from international competitors.”
New Douglas fir poles are being used for the event and have been sourced from Longleat Estate in Wiltshire. There will be opportunities for those who have not tried this great sport before to have a go, with classes for expert, novice, ladies and veterans, with some great prizes on offer as well as the world crown.
