Self builders can benefit from a new partnership between Azelija, Croatia’s manufacturer of oak and timber buildings, and a UK company Croatian Cabins.
Ideal for all types of projects – including large and small homes, garden rooms, stables and garages – Azelija buildings are made from FSC Slavonian oak and FSC Croatian spruce using the patented interlocking AZ beam system, which provides superior strength stability and eliminates the movement often associated with solid log construction methods.
These laminated and insulated beams are stronger and lighter than conventional solid beams resulting in easy to assemble buildings. In most cases no specialist lifting equipment is required, as even beams measuring 13 metres can be manoeuvred by hand.
The buildings achieve the highest levels of energy efficiency, with a thermal coefficient (U value) of as low as the 0.172 required for Passiv Haus construction, and can withstand the harshest conditions, from -20 to +40ºC.
