Free flight offer!

The Gardenex export federation has announced that UK Trade & Investment (UKTI) has agreed to increase grants for eligible UK exporters exhibiting as part of the British group at Gardex/Ifex 2009 in Tokyo, Asia’s largest flower and garden trade show. In addition, British exhibitors could also benefit from the teaming up of British Airways with UKTI to offer a number of free business class seats on their flights. Both moves are part of a programme to help UK businesses succeed in the current economic climate.
Over a number of years Gardenex has built up extensive knowledge of the US $9 billion Japanese garden and leisure market and it will be the third year that the federation has exhibited at this particular trade show which attracts an international audience from many Far Eastern countries and Australasia.
Amanda Sizer Barrett, director general of Gardenex says: “The increased government cash grants for eligible exhibitors of £1,800, together with the comprehensive stand and support package offered by the federation, will enable British companies to exhibit at this important international trade show easily and cost-effectively. A number of our member companies that are now exporting successfully to Japan are doing so as a result of participating in similar groups organised by the federation at previous shows. As British goods are now more competitive in the global marketplace the timing is perfect to take advantage of this combined offer”.
Details of the full Gardenex pre-show and on-site services package, the UKTI grants and the British Airways concessionary flight offer for eligible Tradeshow Access Programme applicants, can be obtained from Gardenex.
