Kirkstone is supplying Light Sea Green slate for restoration of Victoria Park
The restoration of the Old English Garden in collaboration with Sarah Price Landscapes features two circular pools and a connecting rill which will provide a focal point in the refurbished garden. The feature is constructed from individually profiled sections of Kirkstone’s Light Sea Green slate which are all hand finished to ensure accuracy and consistency of finish.
The raised upper pool will contain a body of water to create a mirror effect before cascading off the edge and into the rill to the lower pool. On the other side of the park a landscape folly is being built to replicate the original and historic Chinese Pagoda, which once stood on an island in the West Lake. Kirkstone is supplying stone to clad the ground floor walls, skirt and a dado rail to this impressive landscape feature.
Kirkstone is working with LDA Design together with the principal contractor Geoffrey Osborne Limited .
