Concrete Glee

Lafarge will use the Glee exhibition as a platform for its ‘Sustain-Able’ campaign, empowering landscapers to improve their environmental performance by selecting materials that demonstrate strong sustainability credentials.
Lafarge Cement was recently the first UK cement manufacturer to be awarded the BES 6001 Responsible Sourcing Certificate developed by BRE Global. The ‘Very Good’ classification applies to all bulk and packed cements from Lafarge Cement including its packed ready-to-use range, which have been designed specifically with the landscaping market in mind.
Gaining responsible sourcing accreditation is the latest in a series of major investments made by Lafarge Cement to help customers strengthen their sustainability credentials.
Mike Lomax, marketing communications manager for Lafarge Cement UK, told The Landscaper “The landscaping products market has boomed in recent years and we want to make our customers aware of the innovative product solutions that are now available to help them.
“By using products such as Lafarge Cement’s Postcrete and Slablayer, landscapers and DIY-ers can erect fencing posts and lay slabs much faster – where traditionally they would have had to return the following day to complete a job, once the concrete had hardened”
