CALL FOR ENTRIES

The British Association of Landscape Industries (BALI) (www.bali.org.uk) is encouraging landscaping businesses with trainees studying at NVQ levels 2 or 3 to take part in the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition.

The competition gives young landscapers a great opportunity to work under the supervision of highly experienced judges and to create a garden designed by Chelsea Gold Award-winning designer Andy Sturgeon. 2009 venues include Further Education colleges, the RHS Malvern Spring and Autumn Gardening Shows, Gardening Scotland and IOG SALTEX. The competition is free to enter and open to teams of two.

‘This is a fantastic opportunity for young landscapers to gain experience in landscaping. It is also excellent promotion for the company or college they represent. BALI is proud to project manage the WorldSkills UK Landscape Gardening Competition” says Sandra Loton Jones – BALI chief executive.

Tel 02476 698658 or email aradley@bali.org.uk.
Entries close 9th April 2009.
