SOFT LANDSCAPE WORKSHOPS

To celebrate their 40 years of trading in the “Garden of England” Palmstead Nurseries are holding 3 days of Soft Landscape Workshops for landscape professionals. Palmstead have grown to become the largest grower for the landscape and amenity market in the South East. Growing on 120 acres (50 hectares) and supplying a range of landscaping businesses involved in all scales of work, from domestic garden installation to commercial landscapes, local authorities and new built communities.

Palmstead have blended together a topical and technical seminar including presentations from leading industry figures. There will also be a demonstration of the nursery and an explanation of the production methods. Offering a valuable insight and CPD (continual professional development) for the landscape and construction professional.

Three days in September between Tuesday 9th to Thursday 11th. Each day focused on a separate market area:

• Tuesday 9th – Garden Space Day – aimed at the Garden Designer and Landscape Contractor.
Talks from leading plants woman – Lucy Huntingdon, Chelsea Gold building contractor and lecturer David Dodd plus Award winning Designer and horticultural media personality Andy Sturgeon.

• Wednesday 10th – Public Space Day – aimed at the Landscape Professional, Landscape Architect, Public Space Manager and Public Space Contractors builders and maintainers. Speakers include Dominic Cole designer of the Eden Project and one of the country’s leading experts on historic landscapes.

• Thursday 11th – New Places and Spaces Day – aimed at builders, developers and their designers and contractors. Topics include planting for climate change, Thames Gateway green space and avoiding pitfalls on construction sites. Leading and vocal Designer Wayne Hemingway will present his views with other leading figures.
