Rose Garden

To celebrate the opening of the new Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden, sponsored by Witan Investment Trust, at RHS Garden Wisley, the Royal Horticultural Society is launching a search to find the nation’s favourite rose.
Members of the public are invited to vote for their favourite rose, and will be in with the chance to win two tickets to RHS Garden Wisley, a personal tour of the Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden which includes the chance to ask advice about your own garden, and the top three most popular roses, as decided by the public. Four runners-up will each win a pair of tickets to RHS Garden Wisley. The online poll will close 31 July. Vote online at www.rhs.org.uk/wisleyrosegarden
The Bowes-Lyon Rose Garden has been designed by RHS Chelsea Flower Show gold medal winner, Robert Myers, and contains more than 4,500 roses. Selected by experts at the RHS, the 150 rose cultivars show the full range of roses available to the modern gardener, from true old roses, hybrid musks, English Roses and floribunda, through to species roses which are rarely seen in a garden setting.
To help find the nation’s favourite, the RHS has narrowed down the thousands of roses to the 20 cultivars that are most frequently bought at the Wisley Plant Centre.
