Ronacrete have launched Ronadeck Resin Bound Surfacing System to the hard landscaping industry. The product is a resin bound aggregate surface for pedestrian and light vehicle traffic, used to create footpaths, pathways and drive on surfaces which are decorative and functional, seamless and with slight flexibility.

The Company developed the system in response to demand from its client base and after its introduction of the Ronadeck Fast Grip resin bonded system eight years ago. Ronadeck Resin Bound Surfacing is laid thicker than Ronadeck Fast Grip, resulting in a surface which is more decorative, with greater depth and dimension. Loose stones are also less of a problem, a major advantage in locations where scratching cannot be permitted.

The system brings together the beauty, colour and texture of natural aggregate and the bonding power and resilience of hybrid resin technology to create a surface which is laid inside and outside for a variety of applications including footpaths, walkways, private driveways, pavements, patio and pool surrounds, car park bays, shopping centres and retail outlets, office receptions, heritage sites.

The system is fast curing; within 3-4 hours it is ready to receive foot traffic, and can receive cars the same day. A range of finishes is available including glass and recycled aggregates, further contributing towards environmental protection. Importantly the resin is a UV stable, non yellowing resin, and therefore maintains its “as applied from day one” appearance and unlike other resins does not yellow or spoil with age as a result.

The Ronadeck Resin Bound Surfacing System satisfies the latest SuDS requirements for water permeability with a water permeability measure of 45 l/m²/min. Further it has been independently tested and found to have a Slip Resistance Value which is so low that it exceeds the HSE’s requirements by a factor of almost 3 classifying it as having Low Slip Potential in the wet and dry.
